Cbd: Does it really get you high?

There are many benefits to this (pain relief!) Reduced anxiety be titer sleep so many ways to use oil! Gummies! Lube! It’s easy to see why everyone is jumping aboard the cbd train. And you might be wondering, “lover” and “back to december” can get you higher that a kite.

Cbd won’t get your high. Cbd is made from cannabis, the exact same plant species that produced marijuana. Cbd products have very low levels of THC, the psychoactive chemical which creates a high.

But it could also provide many other benefits. Here’s all you need to know about cbd and its effects.

What is cbd?

Here’s the deal. Cbd is one among more than 100 natural substances called cannabinoids. It comes from the hemp plant, also known as a cannabis or marijuana plant.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (“thc”) is a widely used cannabinoid. It’s well-known because of its psychoactive effects. THC is not to be confused with cbd. These two cannabinoids may come from the exact same place but do different things.

THC is what makes you feel high, and cbd does not. THC and cbd do have side effects. But, we’ll be covering those soon.

Cbd may make you more relaxed, calm, and less anxious. You might even be able to fall asleep. It’s a relaxing and soothing form of THC that doesn’t cause any highs or “stoned” effects.

All the types, explained

Cbd is available in many forms. They all have similar effects, but each one is slightly distinct.

Tinctures, oils and other ointments

Cbd-infused oil is very popular due to its ease of use and quick absorption into your body.

With a dropper, cbd oils can be placed under your tongue. They’re great for anyone that doesn’t want pills but wants cbd.

Capsules as well as pills

Cbd pills and capsules may be useful for many conditions such as sleep disorders and digestive problems. You can take them as you would any other pills.

The main difference with a pill and oil is that it takes longer for the pill to reach your body. Therefore, you may not feel its effects as quickly.

Creams and lotions

Cbd-infused creams and lotions may be used to reduce joint and muscular pain. Others claim that cbd-infused creams and lotions can treat a variety of skin conditions, including eczema. But, the scientific evidence doesn’t support this claim. Cbd may be present in some skin products.

Edibles

Cbd gummies, while very popular, can also be found as candy, cookies, chocolates, and beer.

Vaping

To experience the benefits of cbd oil in a fast way, you can use an e-cigarette to inhale it. Vaping cbd oils is fast absorbed by the body.

But, safety when vaping is under serious question, so it’s something not to be taken lightly.

A cbd chill or a high THC?

THC, cbd, and THC all have an impact in your brain. They have almost opposite effects. THC binds directly to those receptors activating them and giving you a high.

Cbd, however, is not like other cbd. It can actually stop any high from happening. You may find cbd mixed with THC doesn’t give you the same high you get if you only take THC.
